February always seems to go by so fast, and before we know it we are at the end of this short month. Which of course means BLOG CIRCLE TIME!
This month I took part in an amazing project to help bring awareness to families who live with #CHD Congenital heart Defects.
I am talking about the #paperheartproject, some of you have probably already seen some of these posts on social media. A friend Photographer Danielle of
Little Farm Photography, has set out to fill the social media pages with paper hearts, in hopes to bring more awareness. She herself is a Heart Mom, to her little man SJ. She amazes me everyday with her strength and courage, and I am so honored to have taken part with her in this project. If you would like to join in, their is still time. Jump over to the Paperheart Project Group and post your image of a paper heart.
Congenital heart defect touches so many families, and the lives these families live day to day takes a huge amount of strength & courage.
My girls have a minor Congenital Heart Disease. When they were younger
we discovered that the valves in their heart grow a bit slower then their bodies, leaving them with a bit low blood oxygen when their bodies go through major growth spirits. We notice it with their lips, fingers and toes turn a bit blueish.
We have not had too many issues with is growing up. The heart catches up over time and they the oxygen levels return to normal.
I will never forget the waiting game we played when they were both little, waiting to find out what was going wrong with their tiny hearts. We
were very blessed to have it something minor which needed no treatment or medication. However many aren't that lucky and the battle they live with everyday is very real. Please take a moment to check out the video at the end of this blog....... and of course don't forget to keep the circle going and head on over to Courtney from Momentologie Photography's blog by clicking the link at the end.
